The general purpose of the Pastoral Council is to advise and assist the Pastor/Parish Life Director in their duties as canonical administrator of the parish. The Pastoral Council is required by universal and diocesan law for parish churches. The Pastoral Council meets on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, and meetings are open to all parishioners. Council members serve a three-year term, and are able to serve two consecutive terms for a total of six years of service. Meetings follow an established agenda, and the Council works collaboratively with the Pastor/Parish Life Director. Council members will meet the following criteria:
The current members of the Transfiguration Parish Pastoral Council are: Scott Rice (chairman), Jim Johnson (secretary), Mary Agnes Arnold, Alex Del Re, Stan Korsak, Giner Will and Laurie Pollay. Ex-Officio members of the Council include Deacon Charlie Valenti and Beth Thayer, and the parish trustees, Teresa Beamish and Margaret Rice.
We are very pleased to welcome two new members to the Pastoral Council. Ginger Will and Stan Korsak will join the council beginning with our Zoom meeting on October 19, 2021. We thank Ginger and Stan for their service to the parish.

Also serving on the Council as ex-officio members are: Deacon Charlie Valenti, Beth Thayer, and Trustees, Linda Casey and Hugh Graber. he Pastoral Council seeks, and welcomes, input from parishioners so please share your thoughts and ideas with us.
We also want to offer an appreciative thank you to Toni Fogarty. Toni has served on the Pastoral Council for several years, and has been the council secretary most of those years. Toni has decided to get off the council, and we thank her for the wonderful meeting minutes she provided, as well as her excellent input and participation on the council. Thank you Toni!
