Transfiguration Parish is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to assist with the everyday operations at our Schaghticoke Site. The weekly hours will be 9:00am to 2:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Administrative Assistant will often be the first person visitors will con in contact with, so excellent hospitality and communication skills are required. Duties will include receiving and placing phone calls, scheduling appointments, preparing and recording sacramental certificates and records, as well as maintaining records for the St. John's Cemetery. The Administrative Assistant will be the contact person for the cemetery, and will assist families and individuals with cemetery issues. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate the purchase of cemetery plots, and communications with Funeral Homes and Internment Specialists. The Administrative Assistant will be able to operate office equipment related to computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel, and Church Office. Employment is conditional on successful completion of a Diocesan Background Check, and CMG Connect Safe Environment Training through Catholic Mutual. We will be offering fresh carnations for $1 after all masses/services on May 8 and 9 in celebration of Mothers' Day. Proceeds from this sale will benefit women who need support through a crisis pregnancy. Your support on this fundraiser is truly appreciated.
Support Birthright while ordering homemade chocolate for Mother's Day or any other special occasion. The Saratoga Candy Company has generously agreed to partner with Birthright on a new fundraiser. 1) Call Rose Petrak at 518-309-3575 to order a 1 lb. box of assorted milk and dark chocolate for $20. 2) Pay by check written out to Birthright and mailed to P.O. Box 661, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 or dropped off at Birthright during office hours. 3) The chocolates will be picked up by Ginger Will on Saturday May 1 from Saratoga. We will be having our Super Raffle primarily as a mail-in event. We will be asking participant to mail their raffle ticket(s) orders to the parish, along with check of payment. Once the order is received by the parish, we will mail the ticket(s) to the customer. We will try to accommodate specific numbers to the best of our ability and honor requested numbers if available. Should a number not be available, we will contact you to see if another number is acceptable. The winning prizes will be drawn after 4:00pm Mass on Saturday, August 14, 2021.
