Transfiguration Parish is having a bread fundraiser on February 23, 2020. Proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit Birthright, and our local food pantries. Breads will be homemade by Joe Carlo, and cost $ 5.00 per loaf. Participants can order Baguette or Italian loaves, and order forms are available at the entrances of both churches. Pick-ups will be available on February 23, 2020 at the 8:30 and 10:15 Masses. Payment and order forms are due by February 16, 2020, and can be turned in at either church site, or given to Joe Carlo or Heather Field. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to enjoy some delicious bread while supporting very worthy causes!

The Youth Group/Ministry here at Transfiguration under the direction of Heather Field. is open to youth and young adults from 9th grade and up. It is a chance to gather in a safe and fun environment for activities, community service, and Faith enrichment. The next meeting is February 9 in Schaghticoke at 6PM. A Liturgical Musician is needed for Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Watervliet/Green Island While there are three masses per weekend there is a musician for the Saturday 4pm Vigil Mass. This position would include music for the Sunday morning Masses at 8:30am and 11am. The church has both an electronic keyboard and an organ. Thank you to everyone who helped with our Christmas Giving Tree. Your efforts filled a bus and a car with gifts and food for those in need. More importantly you filled their hearts with the joy of the season.

Donation boxes are at the church entrances for items for our area schools that send food home with children in need, those who may go hungry on the weekend. Suggested items are those non-perishables in singles containers that are easy for a child to use (mac n’cheese, chili, pastas, cereals, fruit, snack, etc.) Items will be delivered to our local schools on a regular basis.
We are starting to collect items for the FISH FRY BASKETS. Please help us fill them. Suggestions: gift cards, wine , home goods, movie tickets, food items, gardening. PLEASE, ONLY NEW ITEMS.
