A BIG thanks to: Cheryl Wallingford and the Book Nook Team Bob Keyes and the Fair Food Booth Captains & Teams The entire Garage Sale Team I would like to thank Kathy Provost for her years of hard work on the Garage Sale. As many of you know she is leaving us to move to Florida. We will surely miss her and wish her well. There are too many people to name personally. I would never want to hurt someone by forgetting them. Thank you, you are truly Dream Teams! Our Book Nook and Garage Sale have been going strong for 11 years and the Fair Booth for 6 years. Every year all of you amaze me as to how hard you work and the long hours you volunteer. It is stressful, exhausting and taxing, but also rewarding in so many ways. We make lasting friendships and memories. Thank you also to Jim Rigney for the donation of ice, Brizzells for the tomatoes and GA Bove for the propane. BOOK NOOK $1,065.00 GARAGE SALE $8,283.00 FAIR BOOTH $11,500.00 THANK YOU EVERYONE
Our new ministry scheduling system is off to a great start, and will only get better as we become more familiar with it! The system is managed through the email system that delivers schedules and reminders to ministers. All altar servers, lectors, and extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist should be receiving emails from the scheduling system. If you have not received any emails, it is likely we do not have your correct email address. Please send an email with your email address to: [email protected] Ministers who do not have an email will still receive schedules through USPS. Any parishioners who would like to serve our parish as an altar server, lector, or extraordinary minister of the Eucharist are invited to send an email to: [email protected] We are always recruiting new ministers for our celebrations of the Holy Eucharist.
BIRTHRIGHT of Ballston Spa needs office volunteers to assist young women by listening to their concerns, helping with a self-administered pregnancy test, reviewing fetal development, and offering information on local community services. Birthright volunteers are compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to a 4-hour weekly commitment. The next 3 part training session is October 15, 22, and 29 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. If you are pro-life and can listen without judging, please call Susan at 518-430-7922 for more information.
To each and everyone who so generously volunteered countless and exhausting hours (days) preparing for, and working at the Garage Sale and Schaghticoke Fair Food Booth. Your time and efforts are so appreciated in making these very important fundraisers a success.
