Transfiguration Parish is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to assist with the everyday operations at our Schaghticoke Site. The weekly hours will be 9:00am to 2:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Administrative Assistant will often be the first person visitors will con in contact with, so excellent hospitality and communication skills are required. Duties will include receiving and placing phone calls, scheduling appointments, preparing and recording sacramental certificates and records, as well as maintaining records for the St. John's Cemetery. The Administrative Assistant will be the contact person for the cemetery, and will assist families and individuals with cemetery issues. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate the purchase of cemetery plots, and communications with Funeral Homes and Internment Specialists. The Administrative Assistant will be able to operate office equipment related to computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel, and Church Office. Employment is conditional on successful completion of a Diocesan Background Check, and CMG Connect Safe Environment Training through Catholic Mutual.
